PageFall is now live. Not a lot there at the moment just a couple of python programs and some PD stuff but it should grow in time.
Its an odd night tonight - for the first time since he was born I am away from Milo and Abby. They have gone up to Oban for a couple of days (lucky them!) and I am here on my own in a very quiet house. Its odd - I love being on my own, although I rarely get the chance these days, but the house seems very quiet.
Anyway, there are as ever a great many things afoot.
I guess the first big news is that Milo is going to get a sibling in the summer. Its not quite the same big and life changing deal that the first one is but its pretty exciting all the same.
My projects are moving on apace. I am hoping to launch a separate website for my software in the next week. Watch this space. I also have some more content for here to upload in the next couple of weeks as well.
Work is undergoing a period of change as well which is good.
I find myself drawn to change. It motivates me and keeps me engaged with what I am doing. I find it very easy to fall into a rut which is unfortunate because when I am in a comfortable situation myu creativity and drive seem to drain away.
I've been following the Mars Mission with great excitment. The engineer in me is fascinated by the achievment. To take a machine - fly it across space, drop it (literally!) onto another planet and for it to work and comunicate with the earth is a stunning acheivement. One that utterly blows me away. Space exploration also engages with the little boy in me as well. Something I am glad I have never lost. Its great to see it emerging in Milo as well - we where at the train station this morning and he was literally jumping up and down with excitement at seeing the trains (which he sees most days). Its funny - I have conciously tried to be non gender specific in the things I encourage him in and I don't think Abby encourages gender speciific things either and yet he is still drawn to cars and trains and planes and noises.
Soundtrack to the week includes the haunting Disintergration loops by William Basinski and The Fires of the Borderlands by Rapoon. Top TV includes The Alan Clark diaries and Nighty night and book of the week is Ghost riders
Last but not least here is a new junklight track:
Which is actually a remix of the Enya track "memory of trees" - although you would be unlikely to know from listening to it.
Another year, another million things to do. The main reason for my prolonged silence here is that
I am in the middle of many projects - non of which I really want to talk about much until they
are in a useful stage. I am slowly assembling the rest of the junklight redesign on my harddisk and
building up a bit of content. I tend to take a long time to finish things but I do eventually get round
to most things. I am also desperate to start making music again but at present the opportunity
is not there. One of the projects I am working will not be appearing
here after all. It has taken on a life of its own and I am going to let it run for a little while before
providing any links to it.
