This last week I have been in Ottawa, Canada at the IIPC conference. Apart from being away from my family, which I have to confess I find very difficult, I had an interesting time. Canada seems nice. Ottawa was having unseasonably warm weather (-6 to around 0 while I was there) rather than the -20's which I had been led to expect. In some ways this was a bit of a disappointment. I also had jet lag and very disrupted sleep and an odd sense of dislocation all week. Fortunately I seem almost back to normal today.
